Freedom is disbelieving the mind
Excerpt from the book: All Is Well
Freedom is Disbelieving the Mind
To see the unreality of the mind is to see that the snake is, in fact, a rope. You can learn so many ways to live better with the mind and even beyond it, but true freedom from the mind, with the unconditional peace it yields, comes from the simple act of seeing that the mind is unreal. Taking distance from the mind is critical, knowing yourself beyond it is invaluable, but freedom is the simplest realization that the mind is not what you took it to be – it is not who you are, nor what your internal world is.
There is a buffet of ways to actualize your spiritual potential. Those realizations are wonderful and carry deep and true meaning. But if freedom is what you’re after then there is one criterion to fulfil – seeing the unreality of the mind.
